The Dincel Void Free Warranty is another Australian first from Dincel Structural Walling. The warranty covers any instances of voids found within walls, provided your build has paired Dincel walls with Self-Compacting Concrete to Dincel’s specifications.
The latest terms and conditions can be found at www.dincel.com.au/warranty.
Whether you’re building with core filled blockwork, traditional formwork or permanent formwork, air voids are a general industry concern as they could lead to structural, fire and acoustic issues – usually as a result of improper installation practices. Air voids are expensive to identify and even more costly to rectify – avoid the void!
The Dincel Void Free Warranty is intended to cover any voids as a result of improper compaction of concrete infill which are large enough to compromise performance of a structural concrete wall. The Dincel Void Free Warranty is not intended for the small air bubbles which normally occur with concrete. Based on available standards and technical literature, the definition of what constitutes a void for the purposes of the warranty is included in the Terms & Conditions
Extensive testing has proven that Self-Compacting Concrete to Dincel’s specifications will completely fill a Dincel form.
No. The Dincel Void Free Warranty is conditional upon pairing Dincel walls with Self-Compacting Concrete to Dincel’s specifications.
Dincel has undertaken significant testing with a number of concrete suppliers. At present Holcim is the only supplier of SCC that is approved for the Void Free warranty. Dincel continues to work closely with suppliers of concrete to assist them to develop appropriate SCC mixes and we anticipate adding other suppliers to the list in the near future.
The Void Free Warranty is site specific, with the Terms & Conditions and the Warranty Application Form required to be duly executed for each site.
The warranty is valid up to until an Occupation Certificate has been granted for the site covered. This is in order to provide confidence to consumers that they will be occupying a building with walls free of voids.
The Void Free Warranty is given to the person or entity placing the order for Dincel walls, and is not transferrable.
In order to qualify for the warranty you may use any installer who has completed both modules of the Dincel Academy.
Dincel will be in touch to arrange for an After Sales Service Manager to visit your site and confirm all details on the Warranty Application Form and guide you through the remainder of the process.
